This is in response to Joel Gordon's claims against my company, Classic Roofing & Construction, LLC.

 Joel Gordon was not a customer. He was an subcontractor.

The claims against Classic Roofing that show up on Ripoff Report are totally false and Joel only filed this erroneous report to hurt us because he was upset over being fired.

We, Classic Roofing & Construction LLC, filed a lawsuit against Joel Gordon and won. The court heard the evidence and arguments of counsel and announced its decision was for Classic Roofing & Construction, LLC. The findings of this lawsuit can be found in your local courthouse and are public knowledge. You can reference this CAUSE NO: 096-268562-13.

Our company policy is to pay every salesman for the work they have completed at the point of termination and we have honored that policy and continue to do so today.

 Ripoff Report wanted to charge me $7,000.00 to turn Joel’s negative statement into a positive report and they told Joel that they would charge him $2,000.00 to remove his negative report. That itself in my opinion is a scam. If the person that filed the report wants to remove it and this company won't allow it that's crooked.

We have great customer service and we feel that it's the most important part of our business.  We are in good standing with the BBB (A+) and Angie's List and we strive to have an educated sales force and happy customers.

Ripoff Report Setting the Record Straight! - Ripoff Report Provides Clarification About the VIP Arbitration Program – Ripoff Report Does not Have a Program that will Remove Reports for Money!

EDITOR’S NOTE:  Ripoff Report strongly believes in the First Amendment, even when it is about us.  We understand that people who have complaints written about them are upset and want to place blame somewhere, especially if they feel the content of the Reports are false.  We also understand that individuals want to blame our website rather than where it belongs – on the person who wrote the Reports in the first place.  Using the same method that we provide FREE OF CHARGE to all of our users, we would like to “set the record straight” as to the comments posted about our website through this Rebuttal. 

The author of the Rebuttal here is clearly mistaken about our services.  Ripoff Report certainly encourage users to “set the record straight” and tell their side of the story by using the FREE METHODS available to them before they ever consider other Ripoff Report programs (such as our VIP Arbitration Program or the Corporate Advocacy Program) or alterative avenues (such as filing a lawsuit against the Author of the report) that cost money.  We believe that consumers like to see how businesses handle complaints rather than sweeping them under the carpet or otherwise hiding their dispute resolution process.  It is true, however, that Ripoff Report does offer a few paid programs which includes the VIP Arbitration Program.  $2,000 is the current cost for the VIP Arbitration Program - a program that removes only challenged statements of facts in a Report that are found to be to be false after presentation of evidence to an independent arbitrator.  Even in that instance, the Report is not removed. Only challenged statements of fact that are found to be false by the arbitrator will be (((REDACTED))).  Again, to be clear, Ripoff Report will not remove Reports for money and any information to the contrary is false.  The Corporate Advocacy Business Remediation and Customer Satisfaction Program is another paid program that is offered by Ripoff Report.  This program requires that the member business allows Ripoff Report to make contact with everyone from the past the filed a complaint about them, so the member business can make things right with the customer! If it’s false, we will expose the report! .. All of these programs offer different benefits and levels of service which we invite you to review for yourself.  Again, it is important to note that NONE of the Programs contain a benefit of removing Reports for money!  The programs aren’t for every business and/or individual – a lot depends on the business’s/individuals particular needs and many simply choose to go with the free option of filing a Rebuttal, telling their side of the story, and offering up contact information and/or other incentives.  Furthermore, if the dispute is resolved, the author of the original Report has the ability to come back and file an Update that tells everyone how well the company/individual took care of their issue and or explain how there was a simply misunderstanding!  

 Consumers – if a business reaches out to you to try and resolve a problem, whether it be through postings on our website or other avenues, we encourage you to work with the business and work through the situation with fairness in mind.  We don’t condone businesses trying to take advantage of consumers – that’s why our website was started in the first place.  At the same time, we don’t condone consumers trying to take advantage of businesses either.  To all parties:  Keep it calm.  Keep it honest.  Keep it fair.
