I used to work for Oakwood Homes in Roxboro NC as a salesman for almost 3 years. After not recieving complete commissions on sales that were complete I started looking on my bosses computer to see why. Besides finding incess porno(which I reported to two employees) and was told my his boss I should has told "ANYBODY" but him, I knew that there was going to be some kind of cover-up in the making! I asked his boss about my pay and he told me me and I quote " you can either let it drive you crazy or just sell more houses!" Again Cover-up! I then call the Berkshire Hathaway 800 toll free hot line.I file a complaint about all of the above and more. I recieved no phone call back from the company.

I filed for unemployment and was told later from the unemployment office that Clayton Homes had talked to them and I quit due to a drug test!! Yes they did ask me to take a drug test and when I asked for what grounds this was based on, Oakwood Rep. said I DID NOT HAVE TO TAKE ANY TEST AT ALL OF ANY KIND. I quit because they are liers and theives! They don't think I have some proof but I DO from their records. I believe my name has been slandered! Can anyone HELP? I currently holding 100 percent customer satisfaction for every home I sold for this piece of s**t company and to think they would treat me like scum of the earth is just wrong! Don't put your TRUST on Oakwood/Clayton

I hope America reads this before giving their hard earned dollar to Companies like these! I'm still in the business in a town where there is Oakwood and Clayton homes and I thank them for being the way THEY STILL Are TO THE DAY! I sell alot of people that look at their product and salespeople. I wonder how they are still in business. It won't be long when Clayton ends up like Oakwood Bankrupt but that won't stop them from ruining peoples lifes. Look at the ripoff reports of the families investing in a dream that always turns to a NIGHTMARE with this company. there should be a law in the USA to stop unfair business transactions! BEWARE they will promise the moon and the stars but NOTHING ever happens but you CRYING> about some salesman that got your money and doesn't make your dreams come true. They dress up their homes for you to look at and put the best furniture in their models .... YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD FIX THEIR HOMES UP FOR YOU AFTER YOU BUY THEM. THREY WANT YOU TO SUE THEM. THEY GOT MORE MONEY THAN YOU> THEY don't care about you America. Just on T.V.

Dear Jim Clayton, I read your response to this report on the company you used to own! I now work for a company that REALLY cares about employees and customer alike! I work hard for whoever I work for and always have. Your ex-comapny is SO BIG You out of all people Didn't even read my statement! Look at your response. All you wanted to do is want someone to BUY YOUR BOOK!!! I read your book SIR!! I liked it it made for some d**n good reading. I think I'm a better salesman after reading the book.

Now I work against Berkshire Hathaway and I'm making a great living. NOBODY wants to deal with dishonest people. Look at this web page!!! YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SAY TO ME OR AMERICA!!!! YOU DON"T OWN THE COMPANY!!! RIGHT??? You should have taken your name off the signs Mr.Clayton You good name isn't good anymore Hell Sir you put comments on my complaint that ain't even mine. YOU DON"T KNOW WHO YOU WERE EVEN TALKING ABOUT? WHO IS CANDICE?? _PEOPLE BEWARE_ They don't care..... I don't put this company on ANY resumes... I don't want people think I"M NOT FAIR!!!! I am the founder of Clayton Homes, Inc. which was fortunate to buy Oakwood which was one of the companies in the 60's and 70's that inspired and motivated me to grow Clayton. Unfortunately, Oakwood, in my view, outgrew it's infrastructure and leadership and the rest is history. I have no legal connection to Clayton or Oakwood and the views expressed are mine personally. However, I am proud to share my name with Clayton which is considered, and I firmly believe, is one of America's truly great companies staffed with wonderful leadership and workers, many of which I personally recruited and mentored.

My guess is that your payments changed due to a change in your insurance premiums. It is likely that your late charges were 5% of the payment and not $5.
