This is a fraudulent business, plain and simple. Trainers and students should stay far, far away. Don't work for these people unless you want to work for free.

I taught two classes for Clean Edison in October and November, one in North Carolina and another in Newark, NJ. According to the contract between myself and Clean Edison, I was to be paid 15 days after each class ended and I made it very clear that if they could not pay me in this timeframe, I did not want to take the job. Clean Edison agreed to the terms, which now in retrospect, they had no intention of fulfilling and blatantly lied to me. I have been calling and emailing for the last two months and so far Clean Edison has done nothing to fulfill their contractual obligations.

The support and preparation for the classes themselves were abismal. Location was changed at the last minute and several students went to the wrong location. There were issues with getting payment for the meeting room, which led to the hotel threatening to lock us out of the classroom. There were not enough text books for the students and it was only on the last day of class that everyone had a text book. There was no projector for the class as promised, leading to me going out on the lunch break to buy one. CleanEdison's credit card was declined trying to make this purchase. The list goes on. This company is a joke.

In my attempts to collect my money, most of my emails have gone unanswered. I have spoken or emailed with Avi (CEO), Daniel, Raj, and Kim and no positive steps forward have been made. When I am contacted, there is talk of a "payment plan" that never actually happens. I have contacted the board of advisors as well and still nothing has happened, which leads me to beleive they are fine with this unethical and unsustainable business practice. A company that claims to be "the nation's leader in professional clean energy training," yet cannot pay the people who are actually training their students, needs to reevaualte their business model. Avi-formerly working for Lehman-clearly has not learned from the past.

Bottom line-this company is fraudulent, has serious cash flow issues, and should not be in the solar business. Please read the other Ripoff Reports about this comanpy, this was not a one-time incident:

Report# 946917 note-the only report with a rebuttal where it looks like CleanEdison actually paid what was due. It looks like this was a former student, all the reports from former instructors still look to be unsettled.
