I have written multiple articles for Opulence magazine, which is run by Clear Quest Media. In order to be paid for the first article I wrote for them, back in 2006 I had to contact multiple people and wait much longer than my contract stipulated however I was eventually paid. I was hesitant to take on more work with them due to this experience, but I did after I was assured that I would be paid for future writing.
I have written two rather lengthy articles for them since then, both in 2007. With each, I signed a contact which indicated that I would be paid within 90 of the article(s) being published. It has been over a year, and I have not seen a dime for the writing I did that was published by Opulence Magazine. I have emailed Jonathan Molina, who was my contact there and the "Chairman" of Clear Quest Media, countless times and I always get a similar response from him - that I will eventually get paid.
Opulence magazine is changing hands and soon, the magazine will NO LONGER be controlled or run by Clear Quest Media. Clear Quest owes me $1250.00 for my published writing.
I have been in contact with at least a dozen other writers who are in the same boat as me. As a freelance writer, contracts are my livelihood, and to have them so blatantly dishonored by Clear Quest Media is completely disheartening. Clearly, the only Quest they are on is to use and exploit the writers that help them sell magazines.

I think that those of you who are trying to rub Jonathan Molina's face in the mud should be ashamed of yourselves. If you look at the directory of people in control of ClearQuest you will see that there are numerous people to contact.
For your information, Jonathan is the only one at ClearQuest with the BALLS to answer your phones calls, respond to your emails and try to get the money in order to pay all of you. Its one thing to bad mouth a company but another to bad mouth a person who IS TRYING!!!!
I am a previous employee of ClearQuest and am a witness to Jonathans efforts regarding the overdue payments. His business partners refuse to help out the writers and that is why he is left as the person who is trying his best to solve this issue. The issue is with ClearQuest, not with Jonathan Molina.
I am surprised he has not taken leagal action against you for slandering him. He is on the writers side and always has been. Why else is he answering calls, he's not stupid! If you have a beef with ClearQuest fine, leave Jonathan out of it! As I will repeat over and over, he is trying to do right and pay for his partners mistakes. Why not drag their name's in the mudd and give Jonathan a break!
I hope that this will shed some light on the situation at ClearQuest and allow the writers to understand. Jonathan has a huge heart and wants understands that the writers deserve their money. I guess having a heart is a bad thing. He should have treated you all like crap and then his name would never have been trashed!
