Clear Water Financial Clear Water Financial Group Of Publishers Sweepstakes Publishers Sweepstakes Scam Kennewick Washington

I recently recieved a letter and a check for $1950 from a company called Clear Water Financial. It stated that I had won a drawing in Las Vegas, Nevada for $98,000 and that the check was to be used for "administrative costs."
When I called the number given, a woman told me that the check was to be deposited into my account and then I would write a check to a security company, presumably for the same amount, and this security company would oversee the transfer of the $98,000 to me.
This seemed very suspicious, especially when it was noted that the check misspelled the name of the company (it called it "Clarwater Inn, Inc.") and that the address of the company and the address of the check's bank were identical.
I ended up researching the bank (AmericanWest Bank) and calling the branch in Kennewick. I spoke to a manager named Diana and she confirmed that the account number on the check was closed. She then asked that I fax the information to her to help her take care of the scammers. I recommend that if you recieve this letter, you call her so she can gather information to stop the scammers. As I said, her name is Diana and the number for the bank in Kennewick is 509-735-4663.
