I just tried to download the very popular VLC media  player from this website.

It looks innocuous enough. However, when the interface opened, I knew something was off how it looked & I couldn't cancel it. Right than my antivirus sw went red & alerted me to close this URL because it attacked my PC & tried to infect it. I spent two h cleaning it up & still have problems w/ apps opening in the virtual XP mode (my OS is Win 7 Pro)  after full scan & several reboots. This is just a warning to stay clear of this aggressive & dangerous site.
