I enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1994 into a Military Occupational Specialty (MOS)of Aivation Electronics. With an extensive education and training for over four years, I felt confident and ready to continue my education and understanding of electronics. It just so happened that a co-worker of mine was enrolled in Cleveland Institute of Technology (CIE) which sparked my interest.

At the time, he had neither positive nor negative feedback since he had just enrolled in the course. I figured I would give it a shot and enrolled in 1999. Unfortunately shortly after enrolling, I was Temporarily Assigned Duty (TAD) elsewhere for 90 days. Throughhout this time I was unable to receive my course material since it was delivered to my house and returned due to my absence.

When I returned back to my duty station, I was discouraged to see the CIE statement reporting that I was two months past due on my payments. I contacted CIE to explain that I had not received my material due to my TAD trip and was unable to complete any coursework. I agreed to bring my payments up to date and catch up on the assignments when I received the material.

A month went by and I still had not received the material, so when I contacted CIE to find out where it was, they informed me that I needed to send more money to have it shipped out since it was my fault that I was not available to receive it the first time. At that point, I informed them that I was withdrwing from the course due to their lack of willingness to work with me and my unpredictable military schedule.

I wrote them a letter explaining my situation, my disenrollment, and my dissatisfaction with them. Months later I received a bill for the full course demanding payment in full. When CIE was contacted, they refused to acknowledge my dissenrollment and insisted that I owed more money than if I had completed the course. Adding insult to injury, I had never received the additional courseware after the first installment.

Later on I spoke with a collection agency about CIE and they flat out told me that CIE targets service members' vulnerability and that there is nothing I can do about it. It is companies like CIE that makes hard working americans want to vomit that they would take advantage of U.S. servicemembers all for the sake of the dollar. Is there no shame to their scam.

I AM A STUDENT OF CIE / ELECTRONICS OH

AUTHOR: engineering extreme - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, September 10, 2014

 DATE-sept-10-2014

Greetings all readers i am her to set the record straight, i am a cie student  and a world college student, world college is part of cie 1st i graduated from cie not only one time but over 7 times in different program areas i earned certificates,

diplomas, a 2year degree, and one 4 year degree, i self published 2 technology books earned 1 us patent, and had a small

electronics business for a short time, i started my cie training about 1985,and have been takeing courses untill 2012

i earned the highest degree award they offfer a 4 year engineering degree, all of cies courses are accredited by the fed.gov

because of cie i was recently accepted at not one but 6 different graduate schools that offer masters degree programs

in technology and i can honestly say if i did not have the diploma awards from cie i would have never been accepted at

any of those schools , the bottom line is this  if you follow the cie rules of achivement you will complete your program.

the rules are as follows. for any student takeing any self study program.

PRIMARY RULES:

1] make shure all your school fees are paid in full, or are paid on time.

2] make shure that you follow the schools instructions properly for your study assignments.

3] make shure you save all tests that you have taken and gotten a final grade.

4] make shure you set aside study time daily to work your lesson materials, 2 hours min. daily

5] try to get all the questions right in tests, you shoot for 100% so you missed some and got 91% not bad

6] when you get to your last test and pass it you get a gift, its called a diploma. you sign off to get it.

7] go get a pizza and a beer and celebrate with friends or a pet, cause you made it,

{insert} i read the marines comments, sorry leather neck, about cie, Attention, us army ranger her, Vet

you and i both know if you is deployed for a long duration 6mos or moor you is not going to have any time

to do any seriouse studys, you should have put studys on hold untill you came back from your duty assignment.

and had a clear 6 mos of light duty, you fall in number 2 , 1, 4, failed to put in study time. thats not cies fault.

these programs require study and reading, real reading not skimming the books. also students who have no technology or engineering training should get some hands on experience or take some pre, basic electronics courses before applieing to cie, your local library may have basic electronics books you can read up on some up to date technology for free.

there are only 4 ways a cie student will fail they are as follows.

1] you did not pay your school fees. / you where removed from program of study.

2] you failed to put the study time in no pain no gain./no degree

3] you ran out of time to do the semester./or hanging out was moor important./or other

4] you quit the program of study.

Mostly 90% of students who claim i was robbed end up with number 2 or 3  number 4 is allways the end result.

cie and world college only provide the path and tools for opportunity, its your responsibility to do the work.

if you can not earn just one certificate at cie, your not going to make it at a traditional school independant study means

exactly that independant and on your own to make your own way and carve your own destiney.

It does not matter who you are, the only thing that matters is what you shall become.

For the Honor, of CIE, For The Honor, of World College.

Respectfully Yours

Engineering Extreme,
