I purchased Digital Rescue Premium from dtransfer.com, which uses cleverbridge as a vendor.  The software was ranked #1 on a site I found, but not only did it fail to recover the data (which was able to be recovered by another program), but they sent me an INVALID PRODUCT KEY (so I cannot use the product).  I contacted the support link given by the software when it said my product key was invalid, and they refused to help me or offer a refund.  Upon doing some research on cleverbridge, I realized that they were just trying to deflect responsibility rather than helping address the issue or contacting dtransfer for me.  They claimed my email was not related to an order, but it was...as I'd be demanding a refund/paypal dispute/chargeback if they failed to email me a valid product key

Here is the copied correspondence

This is related to the order, as I bought an invalid product key from you.  If you do not wish for me to open a dispute with paypal for a fraudulent transaction, I want a working product key in the next 24 hours (2 would be nice, and a full refund as a gesture of goodwill so I do not leave bad reviews on all sites my opinions are valued--I'm already considering doing this just because receiving an invalid code for a product I purchased makes me question the authenticity and honesty of your company.  Since the email listed for issues on the activation page links to you, I would think you would be more than happy to help me.  If you do not wish to be investigated by paypal, it would be in your best interest to ensure I get a prompt response from whoever is needing to help me.

For your information, the product was unable to help me recover the data and I am already using another software to do so.  A full refund and more free software be a gesture of goodwill if you do not wish both your company and dtransfer to be reviewed as poorly as possible on as many sites as I review in addition to being investigated by paypal for fraud.  I might also mention I'm a radio, club, & mobile DJ, so my connections are numerous, and I will not hesitate to call out fraudulent companies both on air and on my website & facebook.

Order ref#29727454 REFUNDED

AUTHOR: cleverbridge - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, February 10, 2012

Dear Charles,

Thank you for your post. We apologize for the experience you have had with the software. cleverbridge is the payment processor for the software publisher Data Transfer as well as a variety of other companies. We have responded to your Better Business Bureau complaint informing you of the situation. Data Transfer had a key generation issue and all of their orders were supplied with incorrect keys. Data Transfer was hoping that the issue would be resolved within 2 business days. They apologized that they were unable to respond as they were having server issues due to the large amount of contacts they were receiving regarding this issue. At this point, we have refunded you for your order back to your PayPal and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Should you have any questions, please contact us directly at:
