I too bought what I had thought was a full complete set of the original Dark Shadows Collection. Now the original sets all came in there own Collection cases. Upon receiving them, I came to the conclusion that these were also pirated as they were in cheap plastic cases with numbers labeled on them (some were hard to read what they were. ones looked like sevens, fives resembled eights & so on) and some discs didn't play at all on our dvd, computer, or game consoles (they advertised that their discs would play on all of them). Episodes sometimes skipped around, froze up, and like I mentioned before, didn't play at all. Was also promised the earlier episodes of Dark Shadows to be included in this set (Dark Shadows, The Beginning) which was not included. When I wrote them about it the company said that it would have been sent if it was available~ so, according to them, I didn't read the ad right. Maybe so, but that doesn't excuse discs not working at all..had to go to the library to watch what was missed. My set came from China. moral of the story, don't ever buy anything over the internet from China. Lesson learned & I wish I had come here to research these people before actually buying from them. Buyers beware from buying from WholeSale Dvd company!
