I fell in the the trap of being scammed by Clicksmart. I am a small business owner in Georgia and I am always looking for new ways to network my company. I have listings on Service Magic and this is where I believe they started to get my information. They or should I say Clark called me several times trying to sell me on listing my business on this website of contractors. Clark really "talked" up the site and how they are powered with Yahoo. After several phones on Clarks behalf I finally gave in and "listen" to what he had to offer. He proposed the year subscription to this directory for $295 per month!!!! I informed him that I am a very small company and with the economy, that amount of money is unheard of to spend at this time. Clark never wavered, he went in for the "Kill" offering a trial subscription for 90 days. Ok, 90 days trial and then charged my credit card if I am happy with the service, sounded great!

It went all downhill from there, no phone calls, no website views, etc. So I called the customer service asking what's going on with my posting, how come I am not getting any calls. This very RUDE guy informed me I was told wrong by "Clark" and that the Whole Directory will received 500 unique users, not just my Listing. This information, of course, floored me. I was so angry I had to hang up and compose myself. I then called back and was on the phone with a RUDE women this time and I informed her that I no longer feel good about this listing and I would like for it to be taken down. No harm no foul, Right? Well she went off on me, playing a tape back from "Clarks" sales pitch, which I did not hear myself on this tape hardly at all except, hmm hmms. She then informed me that we have a "contract" and I will have to pay for this trial period!!! That would be $295 per month times three... $885.00 for NOTHING!!!

Needless to say I have the best credit card company backing me, CHASE. I called Chase and they have heard of this company and is in the process of getting there money back on my behalf. Word to the wise on Business credit cards, get them protection! That will save a lot of hardship down the road when it comes to companies like Clicksmart!
