December 16, 2005 I ordered a closet from Closet World, the date of install was to be January 30, 2006. Closet World called & changed the date to February 4, 2006, time between 9-10, installation crew showed up at 4:30. Crew had to leave because they forgot some of the parts came back at 6:00 PM. I told the crew to take the closet back because the closet was ordered without backs.

Called & rescheduled install for March 10, 2006, 11:00 to 1:00 Closet World called and changed appointment to 3:00 crew never showed up.

March 13th, 2006 called Closet World talked to Anton who offered no apology for the crew not showing up or at least calling us. Told us he couldn't reschedule for 4- 5 weeks.

April 13, 2006 talked to Brandon install date May 4, 2006 9:00 to 11:00. Crew shows up with closet we would not accept closet. The closet was stacked in a truck with no padding tools on top of closet with marks & gouges on the wood. I have pictures of the closet in the truck. Closet World has my closet & my money & will not refund $2,834.00.

The reason I have waited so long to file a complaint is because I have been in the hospital twice because of stress. I am no longer stressed & hope to get a class action suit going.

Yes it was an Unfortunate Situation

AUTHOR: Glenda - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 29, 2007

Yes the case was dismissed. That is true read your contract because you will lose when you sign it. The Hearing Officer saw the pictures of the Closet inside the Van stacked on top of each other with gouges in the wood. The Hearing Officer asked Closet World if they would replace or repair the damage and they said they wood. The reason why I lost is because I had another closet installed by Classy Closet. The Hearing Officer said I signed a contract and dismissed the case.

Classy Closet did a wonderful job that's why they are called Classy Closet. It's been almost a year now and Closet World never said they would replace or repair the Closet until the Hearing Officer asked them to. There are a lot of people out there with the same problem I have with Closet World. Classy Closet is the best. I would still like to get a Class Action Suit going.

An Unfortunate Situation

AUTHOR: Antoine - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 29, 2007

We here at Closet World hold ourselves to the highest standards of business ethics. Please be careful to read your contract and order what you would like installed. Remember we are required by Arizona law to honor revisions and/or cancellations within your three-day right of recision. However, after this time period passes the contract becomes a binding legal agreement, the Installation Department does not have the authority to modify nor cancel a contract. Often times circumstances arise where tactful communication is very useful when working towards a resolution, again we pride ourselves as professional and as fellow consumers.

This complaint was taken to hearing at the San Marcos Justice Court and the decision went to the Defendant.

resolution - you have to sue in Small Claims Court

AUTHOR: Suzanne - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, October 30, 2006

Don't count on a class action suit. There are a lot of things that are involved in those and a lot of things have to met in order for it to be considered a class action suit, not just a number of people who want to sue. Besides, for what you've lost, you can't possibly want to spent a minimum of $50,000 suing in Superior Court and more likely $80,000 to $100,000 through trial. For your loss, sue in Justice Court. Here's a link. Call them if you have any questions. There are two divisions, read and ask about each and choose which you want. Document everything, even phone calls.

CLOSET WORLD CHANDLER ARIZONA

AUTHOR: Glenda - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, October 15, 2006

December 16, 2005 I ordered a closet from Closet World the date of install was to be January 30, 2006. Closet World called & changed the date to February 4, 2006 start between 9:00 and 10:00. Installers arrive at 4:30. Installers had to leave because they forgot some of the materials. I looked in the closet and there was no backing on the closet. 6:00 PM the installers come back I told them they had to take the closet back because there was no backing on the closet.

Rescheduled install for March 10, 2006 between 11:00 and 1:00 installers never show up.

March 13, 2006 I called and asked to speak to a Supervisor Antoine Young who offered no apology for the installers not showing up. Antoine said he couldn't reschedule for 4-5 weeks. I told Antione that considering we ordered back in December, that the installers failed to show up and had cost us a day by our staying home from work we thought 4-5 weeks was unacceptable.

April 13, 2006 Closet World leaves a message on our machine installers are at our home to install closet we had no appointment. no one called to schedule any appointment on April 13 our last communication was on March 13, 2006.

April 13 talked to Brandon Banks rescheduled for May 4, 2006 between 9:00 and 11:00 for install. Installers show up with closet in a van without protective covering or padding over it. It had green paint, scratches, chips and gouges on the wood, tool chest sitting on top of the wood. I took some pictures of the closet in the back of the truck & told installers I would not accept it.

I talked to Brandon Banks that same day he was very rude I told Brandon that I would not accept the closet because of the condition of it Brandon said Closet World has all my money I own the closet what do I want to do with it I said I don't care what you do with it I will not accept it in that condition. I have not heard back from Closet World.

The reason I have waited so long to file a complaint is because I have been in the hospital twice because of stress and felt my health is more important. Now I am no longer stressed and hope to get a class action suit going.
