Closet World Refuses to refund my deposit and the closet was never completed. Rip-off! Whittier California

I gave Closet World a deposit of $1,600.00 on July 1, 2004 for a closet which would eventually cost $4,000.00. When the installers arrived, they gave me the bad news that the materials had been cut too long to fit the closet. I re-scheduled the installation for 3 weeks later. I waited on the day of installation, July 22, and after 3 hours called Closet World. They claimed that I was not on the schedule for the day (even though I had received a voicemail message confirming my appointment).

I have contacted the company many times attempting to get my initial deposit back. I do not want the closet. I missed work twice waiting for the installation, which never happened. To make matters worse, the installers 'gutted' my closet of it's shelving, leaving me with an empty space, not usable for anything. I can't get anyone to return my calls. The receptionist refuses to put me through to a live person. I am so unhappy that I chose Closet World.
