I received a call from CMG claiming that I received a payday loan from a company that they represent. i have never applied for or received a payday loan. They would not give me any information like bank account it was deposited in. They also had my SS#.
They claimed to have gotten good references for two individuals - one of which I do know. The other I don't. They are claiming that they are going to serve me with papers to appear in court for bank fraud and deceptive practices. I did not receive anything from them and would never take out a payday loan. I was offered a $200 dollar settlement on a $2000 bill which includes interests and attorney fees. The original loan was $865, that I never received or applied for. I'm thinking it's a scam. They should be arrested and fined for doing these things.
