I found an ad posted on Craiglist for Lafayette, LA. It was for a Baby Lock BMP6 Embroidery Machine. I sent a request.  Several days later, I recieved notice that the percieved owner had placed the machine with the co-operative consignment and gave details on how it worked.  I had to register with this "international" company that was part of ebay and craigslist.  However, when I put in the id number, I found that it had been sold already.  So, I wrote her back and she stated she had two machines. So, I sent a note to the company to verify this.  When the request came back, they wanted the money to be sent to the UK. via Western Union. I argued with them, thinkoing that this was not a good business decision.  I recieved several negative emails back.  I found it strange that she also requested that I let her know, before I sent the money.  The tone of the emails from the "Co-operative Consignment" where the same as the person selling the merchandise.  But, what really was a red-flag was that a lady who was suppose to be one hour away - was wanting me to use a foreign agent in the United Kingdom. I kept arguing with them regarding the types of payment.  They insisted on Western Union.  I refused.  After several dialogues, I looked at the rip-off report and found the same story, from multiple locations around the US.  I also found it strange that she said she had several to sell.  Most people can barely afford one, must less two or three.  And, that she was selling it to pay for her daughters wedding.  I have kept all of the emails. But, I wanted to warn everyone that this is a scam.
