I ordered a 120V LED strip light & accesories on Aug 27, 2013, for for a total of $181; received a confirmation email. I later discovered they had charged my credit card on the order date, not the shipping date like most other merchants.
I called on Sep 11 since I had not received any update. I called to get the status of my order. I was told that my order would take three weeks.
Called on Sep 18 since I had no status update. Called and left a message. Was called back later and told their server had gone down and they were going though the phone log. Was told the lighting was on backorder. I suggested they should be provide updates to their customers. Was told they were too busy to provide such feedback.
Oct 3, five weeks and still no status from Coast to Coast. My card payment is due on Oct 6. Scheduled payment to card company and initiated a dispute for Coast to Coast Lighting.
I sent an email to Coast to Coast Lighting on Oct 3.
Dear Sirs:
This is to inform you that I'm cancelling my order (#33696), order date 8/27/2013.
I called your office several times after three weeks only to be told items were on back order or items would be shipped by the end of the day or to be shipped in two days.
I was also told you were too busy to provide an email update about order status.
You did charge my credit card when I ordered. Most companies charge when the merchandise is shipped. I waited until Oct 3 to dispute your charge ($181.43) I will continue to dispute your charge.
Your Unhappy Customer
Later on Oct 3 I received the following:
“your order has already shipped you should have it by friday we will email you the tracking number in about 45min sorry for the delay”
Still later on Oct 3 from SoCal / Coast to Coast Lighting
“All of the tape lights in 120v were back ordered since June the main reason is it is a brand new item and sell out fast also the cords needed to be updated so it usually takes 14-21 working days any disputes without cancelling before we ship will cost customer all dispute fees all of your product shipped and we do now have stock for at least 5 more days”
I have since received my order. But "Heaven Help Me" if I have some problem with the lights.
Because SoCal / Coast to Coast Lighting does not have any customer service!
