Coast2CoastLenders Obtained my personal information and then 3 days later, stated that they don't do business in my state. Wilmingto Delaware

I contacted Coast2CoastLenders by phone after doing an internet search for a loan for federal employees that could be repaid via payroll allotment.  The representative sent me a five page loan application, instructed me to fill out each page, and submit a copy of my two most recent pay stubs, copy of a voided check, photo identification, and a utility bill.  I scanned/emailed the required documentation and contacted the company the next day to check the status of my application.  I was informed that the application was in their underwriting department and that someone would contact me by the end of the day with an answer.  No one contacted me and so the next day, I called again - only to be told that the company does not do business in Illinois.  Now I'm scratching my head and wondering if these people have taken my personal information for fraudulent purposes.  Not only did they deny my loan, but they didn't even contact me to say anything one way or the other.  At worst, they are scam artists and at the least, their customer service and employee training is terrible.   I have a credit monitoring service, but hope these people don't do anything shady with my information.  Their assurance that they will shred my documents did nothing to ease my anxiety.
