Coastal Apartments AKA Gotham City Apartments AKA ML-1 AKA Transworld Roommates rips off renters in massive bait and switch, consumer fraud scam Ripoff New York New York

Coastal Apartments is the newest front name for Gotham City Apartments. Gotham City was forced to settle with the State of NY and close their doors after settling this fiasco:

They have since opened in the same space with the same employees, same phone number - but with a new name on the door as Coastal Apartments.

The bait and switch renters with phony apartment listing ads and force people to subscribe to their $250 service in order to get contact information for these apartments that do not exist "well it must have been renter already". Their lists are poorly maintained and their salespeople are friendly and helpful until you subscribe - when they become arrogant, incompetent, and negligent. They don't return phone calls when you can't get any listings. They hang up on you if you ask why you can't find all the Voice postings. They don't provide refunds, which is in direct contrast with NY state law.
