I started coastal in November and was very excited to be there. My first few weeks went well, I was making friends, going to office night and enjoying my time spent at work. After a few weeks we were sent to territory that was not safe, we told our managers and they never made us go back unless we wanted. So, I remained hopeful. Showing up on time eager to learn more about the company. The month of December was a tough month, people were on holiday, money was tight, the weather was cold and coastal was a new company, so a lot of people wanted to head back home. Needless to say, sakes were not the best. I was barely scraping by but remained hopeful because.of the growth the company offered. I had a week or two without making any ssales, it started to show on my face in the office I was upset a lot. My manager made promises to go out in the field with me to bring up my moral, but didn't manage her time properly and got my hopes up. She apologized and promised me to go out with me Monday of the following week. She did not, she went out with a mal co-worker instead, not once but twice in the same week. I was miserable but needed the job and was willing to make it work. My manager and I had a one on one the following week to talk about production, she basically sent me home said I needed to decide if this job was for me. I was confused because one of the benefits of being at coastal was job security, if you were having a rough couple of weeks, it didn't matter, you would still have a job. So I went home and came back the next day ready for work. The following Monday we had another one on one to talk about production;she was giving me two weeks to make at least $350, so by that Wednesday she basically asked me not to return. Saying she wanted to be friends but she felt bad keeping me at her office saying I could maybe waitress. First off that hurt because she's my boss not a friend secondly she didn't give me a chance and to top it off I'M A COLLEGE GRAD, I can do better than that. Coastal isn't a horrible place to be but if your manager dislikes you it may be time to move on.
