I went to Cocoa Hyundai on 4/11/2011 to buy a USED car.  On 4/8/2011 my adult son spoke to a man there regarding a 2010 hyundai accent (white) that appeared online & I went to look at & purchase that vehicle. I had to shop alone. I am a woman, a senior, and disabled. I live on a small fixed income. As soon as I arrived my salesman told me I did not qualify financially for a used car. I could not get financing. My monthly income was $898 short. BUT I could get a loan for a NEW vehicle. They offered me a 2011 Hyundai Accent...a basic car. I am at the dealership, my daughter dropped me off alone & I needed a vehicle so I agreed on a new car.  I won't go into details about the misrepresented warranty info I was first told by my salesman or how confused I got regarding the financing and all their monetary add-ons. I purchased a car that I have no idea how I will be able to pay for. In the end they had a car sent to their dealership from Jacksonville.  When it arrived I was taken to see it, never was offered a test drive, was NOT given any instruction about the car nor did I receive an Owners Manual. I was simply put into a car I did not know anything about & sent on my way. There was paper and cellophane garbage in the back seat.  I opened a Case with Hyundai Motors Consumer Affairs to get an Owners Manual.  I have spoken to agents there TWICE and TWICE they called the Dealership for the manual.  The dealership said they would mail me one, but I have NEVER gotten it.  Now my car grinds and shakes whenever I stop at a light.  I already have to go for service.  I will find another dealership. I am writing this to warn people about my experience.  And I am also hopeful this will get Hyundai to finally send me my owners manual.

Car gone! Problem solved!

AUTHOR: who - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 24, 2011

Thanks to Hyundai Corporate Consumer Affairs, I was able to trade my car in at the Hyundai dealer here in Melbourne, FL..not Cocoa..  It was a wonderful experience so I highly recommend you shop at  this dealership. The sale was handled VERY professionally.  I got to test drive my vehicle which Cocoa Hyundai did not allow me to do.  The car, ever detail, was gone over with me by my salesperson which Cocoa Hyundai did not do.  The car was spotless, not dirty with garbage in the back like it was from Cocoa. And my new car has everything in the car.  The car from Cocoa did not have an owners manual plus 4 other books, it has a silver hole in the dash where a lighter goes which Cocoa told me the empty silver hole comes that way with no cover or lighter.  I already had a flat tire, and when Roadside Assistance came out on the old car Cocoa had taken the Lug Nut Key out so the tire could not be changed and my car had to be towed into the Melbourne dealership. Instead of the finance person going out of his way to confuse me like he did in Cocoa, this finance personin Melbourne explained EVERYTHING so I understood. The Melbourne dealership is a class act.  Stay away from Cocoa Hyundai.
