We went into the store to view the glasses on display. We were approached by Robert. We inquired about a price. Robert had told us the price was $399 before 20% off. We had noticed a sign for a free second pair of glasses so we inquired if I would be able to get a pair. Robert had told us that he was mistaken that the price of the glasses was incorrect that they were in fact $529 instead of $399 but would give it to us for the price he originally told us of $399. He wrote up a receipt (which we do not have a copy of).

The first pair plus lenses totaled $632 and the second with free frames came to $301 for a total of $933. Robert did not tell us that all sales were final. Unfortunately we made the purchase. We called Cohen's quickly to cancel the order. We were told that the order could not be cancelled (even though we left 10 minutes ago). We were told that the back office was closed on the weekend and our purchase would not be able to pick up until Wednesday.

At this point when Robert told us that a refund was impossible to do I was shocked. When I told Robert this was unacceptable he told me that he could offer us a free pair of sunglasses which I declined. I asked who else we could speak to regarding this issue. Robert told me he would speak with his district manager to see if there was anything else he could do to accommodate us. Robert told me to call back Monday mid afternoon, Robert explained after discussing this with his district manager the only thing that they could offer us was a free pair of sunglasses. I had stated that this was probably not the first time this occurrence had taken place he assured me that it was. I told him this was unacceptable that there must be an exception. At this point, I told him my finance would be in touch that this was unacceptable to us.

What Happened?

What happened between we you handed over the cash/entered your pin/signed your name and 10 minutes later? Did your dog die? Did you get alzheimers? Why must they make an exception for you? Are you royalty? Get over your self.

This is called buyers remorse, and as far as i know, you have know recourse in this case. If you had asked about refunds and/or cancellations at the time of purchase, all of this could have been avoided.
