Coldwell Banker Real Estate The Hardas Team New home construction warranty fraud Highland Illinois

On 10/25/07 we purchased our home from this company. The purchase price was $174,900. It came with a 1 yr warranty. Soon after moving in we noticed a few things which needed to be repaired. The wiring in the kitchen was not working properly and the bathroom fan stopped working. In November 2007 we noticed some of the siding was hanging off the house. We contacted the builder who said they would be out in the spring to make the repairs.

In the meantime I called Phil Hardas, of Coldwell Banker, who instructed me to only contact him not the builder. Mr. Hardas also told us the warranty would be upheld and he would send someone out to make the repairs. As of 02/11/08 no one has made the repairs. on 2/08/08 We just found out that the plumbing contractor is not responsible for the outside plumbing the builder is. The builder or his agent Phil Hardas are unwilling to contact my Realtor and broker to reach a solution. We have an estimate of 1500 dollars from the plumber used for the indoor plumbing. I contacted Phil who gave me a story about the builders health again and finally he told me to contact an attorney.
