Collegiate Housing Services OVERCHARGING! MANY MANY FEES! UNRELIABLE! West Palm Beach Florida

I signed with CHS when I chose to go to college and had no other options as I saw it.

CHS has never ever returned a phone call I have placed on ANY topic unless I told them if I got no responce I would not pay my bill(which happened once and they charged a late fee). They charge $100 total for a late fee when about 10 days late! They charge double what the apartment is going for and the allocated utility bill is ONLY $125! FOR 4 in a 2 bedroom! They are charging way more than double what the localized area is!

The initial move in they expect you to inspect by yourself and document everything and then when you do they STILL try to charge you to get things fixed/cleaned or touched up! They expect rooms to be kept cleaned(including beds made) all the time. There is no concept of privacy they DO NOT mediate roommate concerns instead they blame you both and leave! THEY WILL NOT HANDLE APARTMENT MAINTENANCE CONCERNS! You have to with the actual owners!

It costs $800 to bail out on your lease early! It costs to have overnight guests(you can even be evicted!).

A lawyer really should take a class action law suit on the cleaning fees they charge and miscellanious charges they raped the students with when they first sign up and throughout thier rental agreement!

PLEASE CONSUMER! When going to college DO NOT DEAL WITH CHS! PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF MONEY AND MIGRAINES AND DEAL WITH the landloard they choose to rent from(or community) directly do not get suckered into paying too much!
