I am a senior citizen with failing eyesight due to diabetes. When I needed a new car, I went to my long time Ford dealership. They had done several thousand dollars worth of repairs for me over the years.

I worked exclusively with Chuck, a salesman I liked and trusted. I was offered a car at $14,100, an offer I accepted. Then another fellow, Shane, came over, and wanted $14,722 for the car. I felt I should get it for the $14,100 Chuck offered but through hard negotiations, I got Shane down to near the $14,100 figure.

The following day I went in to sign the final papers. Chuck was supposed to be there but was not on the premisis. Scott, the manager took me in to sign the P&S.

I found the papers hard to read, and asked Scott several times if he was sure that was the price we negotiated. He was so "helpful" he even showed me where to sign, as my sight is so bad. I should have refused to sign since things weren't clear, but I really believed in this company, having dealt with it for years. I signed where Scott pointed..... I know...

STUPID ME!!!! STUPID TRUSTING ME!!!

I am sure you know the rest---the price was the original $14,722. I believed it was an honest mistake and called Chuck, who indicated outrage and that he would fix this and get back to me.

I could never reach him again. I wrote a letter to Scott, the manager about this, and then called him. He screamed at me into the phone "Do you know how much cars cost?" He then told me that he didn't have to honor the negotiations because there were no lines through the previous offerings!! What the H--- is that?? He also refused to tell me the owner of the business, indicating "there's no one to complain to."

I learned a powerful lesson here, and will always bring another set of eyes with me whenever buying a big ticket item in the future. These people are thieving low-lifes to steal a few hundred dollars from an old woman. In doing so, they lost two new car purchases my family subsequently made, and when I replace my Ford, it will be far from this slimy outfit. I may be naive but they are thieves.

Don't buy from them- they deserve to be out of business. The $622 they screwed me out of they spent a long time ago. I hope this report lives forever.. and potential customers run the other way!! I was naive and too trusting-- don't you be!

You presume way too much! Let's stick to the issue at hand!

Wow, I thought this was a supportive site- I feel I am under attack! Let's get back to the issue-- I thought I made it very clear that the contract was messy and hard to read- it was in handwriting, not typed.

As to my getting off the road before I kill someone-- I've been driving for nearly 50 years and I have never had an accident-- I've never even had a parking ticket. I do just fine driving-- messy handwriting, no. Incidently, the car was for my son, which is the biggest reason I didn't just walk out.

Let's stay on point, shall we fellas?

I have to agree. If you can't even see to sign a contract, what on Earth are you doing behind the wheel of a car?? You are going to kill someone..perhaps an innocent child. THEN how will you feel while sitting in that jail cell waiting on the jury to decide whether you live or die ??? Sell that car and get off the road - you have no business trying to drive Sadly, though, you probably can't even read these replies .
