Colorado river adventures, Emerald Cove, Earp Ca. More "Fine Print" in the contracts than any I have ever seen, Their idea of ADA compliant is a joke, will not let you out of a contract at all then sick some dumb a** collection agency from Colorado and all he wants to do is yell at you and threaten you. I am writing this report because I was scammed by Colorado River Resorts at Emerald Bay in Earp Ca. After the high preasure sales pitch I agreed to a partial contract at less than six thousand dollars with a precurser, which somehow was not on their contract that my wife and I would go stay at the other resorts to see just how ADA compliant they were.

Within a couple of months we found out that Pismo Beach will not even let you park your own RV there they are only cabins that are always filled and not ADA compliant. I should have known better because Emerald Bay does not meet ADA compliance either for as many members that they sucker in, the water there is so bad you go through two filters in five  days. We even paid aditional money for Ghost Mtn in Polluck Pines, a year and a half later it still is not ADA compliant and nothing but a dust pit, had to have my air conditioner over hauled after a ten day stay.

The two resorts on Lake Havasu are nice, but again not ADA complient in any way

Then on to Yuma, ADA is really a joke down there, the rocks in the handicaped spaces were so deep I had to dig rocks just to make a trail around our fifth wheel for my wife to get to the truck!

The sad part of this is that Camping World, at least in California sells or gives people's info that buy rigs from them to Colorado River Adventures, suckering newbe RVers into the sell.

The next thing you know, that contract you sign can be changed at any time... You are teased about a 95 dollar buy in stay, that means you can stay for a week, buy a week and stay another week. Basically getting a month for 95 bucks. Turns out that is short lived and hidden in the very fine print is after a year or two it is a 395 dollar a month to stay... That is on the high end for RVing.

When you go to any of Colorado River Adventure resorts you hear all the complaints from a lot of elderly, they have just resigned themselves to the financial joke that was done to them. They are to old to fight. When you do try to talk to them no one from management will call you back, and they are never there when you ask for them. Even if you go there in person do not expect to go face to face with anyone from managemant  even if they are staring you in the face, they will NOT accept responsiblity. They only way to get attention from them is to stop paying your contract and accept the fact that some jerk will be hurassing you on your phone for payment.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY... there are way to many great campsites around this great nation of ours! Good Luck and safe travels
