This company is a joke. I was unvolintarily sent a CD of the month after I had already responded no to their response card. They sent me the CD anyway. It happened that I liked the artist so I opened the CD. When I played the CD, it would skip constantly and I could not even listen to the last 3 songs.

I contacted Columbia House Customer service and was told that I would be sent a replacement CD immediately and that I could send back the other CD after reciving the new one and the payment with that. I went through this same conversation with different people three times. No one ever knew what I seemed to be talking about. I finally gave up after 4 months of fighting with this and decided to mail the payment so that this would not hurt my credit. I never ever received the new CD.

Today I received a notice in the mail that I breeched my contract by lack of payment and I needed to pay $58.00 for "due on contract" This is crazy! I will not let them get away with this. I was only doing what they told me to do by waiting and now they say I breeched the contract.

I tried numerous times to contact this company at the number they gave me on the letter and never got a live person. It is recording after recording. The website was a joke to. I could not find a web site for established customers. So I have not been able to call them or send them an e-mail.

I would have been happy to complete my obligation and probably buy more then I was expected to had they responded to me.

I will not pay this and I really don't care who they report what too! I will be telling all my friends and family and any stranger on the street how this company is a complete ripoff.
