Comanche Trace golf course states that its membership down payment is completely refundable. Their membership coordinator will tell you this when you inquire. She will also tell you that when and if you desire to drop your membership you need not pay further member dues for upcoming months and that your down payment of several thousands of dollars will be returned to you within a couple of months.

When you get to sign your membership agreement you will see that the membership coordinator's statements and the agreement are different. If you inquire about this you will be told that you should not worry as you are becoming part of the Comanche Trace family and that what she told you previously with regard membership dues and refund is what plays. Again you will be relying upon her statements and that of the large block letters in their brochure stating that the membership downpayment is completely refundable.

But guess what?  When you want to drop your membership the club general manager says no way with regard what his membership coordinator said. Further he will tell you that you must pay dues until the end of their fiscal year at the end of December. In addition he will tell you that you must wait to receive your membership refund. He will state that for every 4 new memebers that one membership will be refunded. But he will not tell you how many members are waiting in line before you for their refund and he will threaten you that should you complain he reserves the right to continue to place you at the end of the refund line.

This is the standard operating procedure for this club. Numerous persons experienced the same fraudulent treatment and statements from the membership coordinator and the same bullying tactics from the club general manager. The entire membership plan is just a scheme to get your money with a ficticious promise to repay it. This club pays its membership coordinator on the basis of new members she gets to sign up and the general manger encourages her to do so without any respect for the truth. The membership plan has -0- transparency and the general manager is little more than a snake oil salesman. He acts like a bully and treats the entire club as if he were a King and not a general manger. Again numerous persons have experienced first hand the rude treatment and unprofessional customer service of the general manager.

Truly this is buyer beware. This club will convert your money to their use and will not tell you when or if you will ever see it again. The general manger will simply continue to change the rules and move the finish line when you get close to receiving your membership refund or he will tell you that you acted in a detrimental manner toward he and the club and he reserves the right to penalize you.

There are a lot of other real estate developments and golf courses in the Texas Hill Country that can provide you with an honest membership plan. I strongly urge you to seek them out in lieu of this rip off.
