Comenity Bank /Pier1 Comenity Bank would not accept payment san Antonio Texas

We owe Pier 1 $.60 cents and not dollars. We have no problem with Pier 1. It is a very fine store with lots of great merchandise. We owed Pier1 $39.98 and traveled to West Lebanon NH store to make a payment in person at the store. We asked a Pier 1 employee for our balance and in error were told $39.38 which  we paid by check. Later a statement came from Comenity Bank for $.60 cents. Everyone is entitled to an error we are all human. So in effect we made a payment which was $.60 cents short.  We later attempted to pay the credit card statement of $.60 on the Comenity Bank website to no avail. The payment would not take. Their website kept giving an error message in red to pay an amount between $.60 cents and $1.00 dollar.  Kept getting the same message over and over at least a dozen times using Chrome and Firefox. We could not get the bill paid. Now I want to reiterate the complaint is not with Pier 1 it's their bank that they happen to use. When Googling Comenity Bank scams, Ripoff reports has over 78,000 reported consumer complaints on Comenity Bank. Finally had to call the Banks credit card department to see if payment in the amount of $.60 cents could be made by phone. The gentleman accommodated me and took the payment and said we would get a letter stating the charge card is paid. Let me caution you the bank is great for the payments not wanting to go thru so they can extract more money from you by later assessing a late fee of maybe $35.00 or so.  This is just a F,Y,I. Anyway check it out for yourself over 78,000 consumer complaints for Comenity Bank.  We again reiterate we have noc omplaints with Pier 1. Thank you.
