Items on their website can be purchased while items are not in stock & customer is not informed about it. Calls or emails to customer service are not returned.
They place an item on their website, when one clicks on "Add to Cart" the item is placed in cart. Customer is allowed to continue and COMPLETE the checkout process. Not even once they let you know during the entire process that the item being ordered is not in stock and will not ship in two to three weeks.

RIPOFF ALERT:
HOWEVER, THE CREDIT CARD IS CHARGED FOR THE SALE AMOUNT. RIPOFF/RIPOFF

Three to four days later they send an email telling you that the item ordered is on back-order.

Calls to their customer service end up in voice mail and never returned. Emails sent questioning the order are not replied.

Finally, after ten days trying, I ended up talking to a living human being who knew and acknowledged that it was a poor business practice but explained that was how the owner wanted.

Hello, we apologize that the item you wanted was on back order. We receive multiple requests a day to keep popular styles listed on the website even if they are back ordered, so that our customers can place their order and be first in line to receive their favorite product.
If you placed your order on a Friday, after business hours, then yes the notification email would have came 3-4 days later as we operate on normal business hours. We do not offer 24/7 service. However, if your order came in during normal business hours then the notification would be sent to you within 24 hours.
Also, many customers have spam blocks on their email accounts causing our emails to not be delivered. We sometimes have to email a customer multiple times to get a response due to our emails being sent to spam. We understand this and that is why we stay on top of all back orders and/or other notifications and send them out frequently until we receive a response.
If we are busy and on the phone with another customer, then you will be asked to leave a voicemail. We listen to the voicemail as soon as possible and return the call usually within a couple hours, but never more than 24 hours (unless the voicemail was left over the weekend). However, if you receive our email regarding the back order all we need is a simple reply with a "yes" or "no" and we will get it taken care of for you.
Most importantly, we DO NOT charge any customers card until after the order has been shipped. That is our policy and we would never charge a customer for something which we do not have confirmation of shipment. What you are speaking of is an authorization on your card which is placed by the credit card processing company when you submit the account information, but that is not a charge and it drops off automatically within a few days if the charge is not made.
If you paid with PayPal, that is an instant transaction and we have no control over when a customer sends us money through PayPal. We cannot charge a PayPal account, the funds are sent to us by the customer, which we refund in a timely manner if the order is canceled for any reason.
As for the employee you speak of, we find it hard to believe that a team member here would ever say something like that to a customer. That is grounds for termination, and no one here would be so senseless even if it were their own opinion.
We would appreciate lies not be told about our business as we work extremely hard to keep our customers happy, but do understand there will always be a customer who is never satisfied with any outcome. We apologize for any inconvenience the back order caused you.
