Do not make the horrible mistake of trusting Commerce Payment Systems to handle your credit card processing. This company, owned by Michael Mendlowitz is a complete joke. Search the BBB. Commerce Payment Systems is NOT ACCREDITED. They have a C+ rating. SIXTY complaints in the past three years. 41 closed in the last twelve months. 28 complaints under product/service...25 are under billing/collection issues...which leads me to my next point: They will hold your money way past the point of when it is due to you.
This guy also passes off refurbished machines as brand new. The rate they quote you is not the rate you get.  "No contract" actually means he's free to raise your rates whenever he feels like it and you may or may not get your statements, too, depending on how hard he's screwing you.
Free credit card terminal... with a HIDDEN $99 annual "insurance" fee. Good luck talking to the same person twice when you call because he's got the revolving door of employees. This man can't keep employees satisfied let alone his customers.
Their "Smart Guide to Credit Card Processing" is a joke. In it, the CEO, Michael Mendlowitz actually tells you to look out for everything HE does to his customers! His first two points: "You can lose money if you choose the wrong provider and get socked with hidden fees and charges." Well, let me assure you, Commerce Payment Systems IS the wrong provider because that's exactly what they do. His second point: "You can lose money if you dont get expert customer support when you need it. " Well, customer service is horrible. There are a ton of calls and only a few guys to handle the volume, therefore wait time goes on for 30-60 minutes. As a business owner, who has time to wait on hold that long?
The testimonials on his site are actually employees posing as business owners! I could go on and on. Commerce Payment Systems will cause you nothing but aggravation and money loss. Michael Mendlowitz you should be ashamed of yourself! Business owners, AVOID THIS COMPANY.
