community houseing Section 8 choice houseing vouchure shyanne associates After waiting 4 yrs and getting to top of list was told it couldn't be used for house I was in couldn't find a place n on last day they agreed to use my house but gave me only few hours for landlord to turn in papers for i selection said I was late no extension n lost my section 8 befor I even got to use it Troy Michigan

 I had waited yrs to get to top of section 8 list when called after takeing class we were told to find house I asked can I use the house I'm in and was told no after looking n looking frustrated I called and said I couldn't find a place and living on ssi I couldn't afford a new deposit they agreed to let me use the house I was in but said the paperwork had to be in that day n emailed it to my landlord , the landlord has job and whe. I called the next day I was told I could not even have a day extention and that I'd lost my section 8 and would have to reapply and wait possibly yrs befor I'd be called again , I feel I was mislead n if had been told I could of used my existing home the pepper work would of been in within the first week n passed and I wouldn't be living on 50$ a month after rent and utility's this has denied me the keys to home ownership program that u need section 8 to qualify for , this is u fair practices n Lansing houseing told me they had the athority to issue a few day extension if Troy really wanted to but they chose not to and after waiting for yrs I was denied my chance at a better life for me and my kids because of their mistake in denying me the right to use the house I was already in till the last day knowing I'd never get paperwork from landlord I time to set up inspection n approval
