About six months ago, I received a telephone call asking if I would like to join a subscription for magazines. I was told that it would be approximately $39.00 a month for three months. I agreed and began receiving the magazines.

After four months, I called to cancel the subscription and I was informed that I could not cancel at this time, it was for thirty months not three. I have continued to make inquires with the company and they have finally informed me that I am somehow in a 30 month contract which cannot be canceled at any time. They are continuing to send the magazines, even though I have asked them on more than one occasion not to. They are now threatening to send my account to collections unless I pay $840.00.
