This is my fourth or fifth year doing my return with completetax.com (CCH Incorporated) this year I noticed an additional service fee called ERD. This I notice because my refund had not arrived. To file my return and have it direct deposited to my account cost nothing extra. ERD service cost $19.95 to file and have it sent direct deposit to a bank called republic bank the $19.95 fee is to open a temporary account so that my deposit goes in to that account then after 8 to 15 day they will deposit to my account.
I ask why such service if it could have been deposited to my account free of charge and been allot faster. I called republictaxpayer.com run buy republic bank and they received the deposit in there account May 20 2009. This service is a fraudulent service charge. I could have filed my return and sent it snail mail and received it faster then electronically filing it. Now I must wait 8 to 15 days for republic bank to direct deposit to my account. I will never do business with any company owned or affiliated with CCH Incorporated.

No help from CompleteTax.com

I feel as though this company has something to hide. First of all there is no way to get in contact with them- there is no phone number and emails go unanswered. There is a live chat option, but I am not going to pay $4.95 and hope that my question in answered. What kind of customer service is that??
I am trying to print off my return from 2007 and CompleteTax.com prompts me to enter my credit card information first. There is nothing that says how much you will be charged, it does state that the "charge" is non-refundable, and it says the "charge" is for processing the printing. So I have to pay them to use my own printer???
I am afraid they will charge an outrageous amount and use my credit card to sign me up for some monthly service without my knowledge.
Is there anyone who has this information??

I have good news completetax.com has sent me and email here is what they say
In the past you paid your tax preparation fee by credit card. This year you chose to have your tax preparation fee deducted from your refund. This service is performed by Republic bank and they charge a fee for this service.
We will mail you a check for the amount of the bank fee.
We appreciate having you as a customer and hope you will use our service again in the future.
I believe the problem is the fee description and wording of what the fee is for. Also Republic Bank did deposit my income tax return two day after they received the deposit from the IRS. The temporary account that they set up is for the purpose of deducting the $ 49.95 for the completetax.com processing fee The bank fee is for setting up such account to posses my Tax Return payment.
Than you
