I received a phone call to fix my computer again on August 17 (Wednesday). This time, I didn't fall for it.

Previously, they fixed my computer for $199.99 on Saturday, August 5th via ATM-Debit card. An official-looking screen popped up on an article that I was reading, alleging that my computer had been hacked and the end was near. I went through a grueling 70-minute phone call with my represntative, Fransis Walter--a man with an Indian accent. I had just received the "new" used computer from a friend, so I was vulnerable to believing something odd could happen. They did a convincing looking scan and made notes on the note pad.

They tried again today, this time with a phone call and not a computer pop-up also. Once again, they did the scans, but they offered to fix it for a sizzling $700, which I turned down. He tried to say it was guaranteed. This time, the phone guy said the problem was more advanced and someone else would call, which did happen. After turning them down, for revenge, he typed dirty words in the message section of Facebook assoicates in the right-hand margin. I tried to erase them but don't know if I succeeded. Later I put up a message about the beginnings of my realization of the expensive scam. So glad I don't pay for anything online. I had to change my Twitter password after they apparently bothered that site.

Here are the numbers associated with the issue: 1-888-389-7614 & 1-888-574-2575. My bank reported 1-888-509-0573 and a Pennsylvania address--no city.
