Our class only had about a month left till graduation.  I received a call on 12/30/09 from sallie mae asking a few questions about computertraining.edu.  They would not tell me any information except that I would be contacted again in about a week.  In the afternoon on the same date, I received a mass email from computertraining.edu to all the students in our class:

Dear Student:

It is with deep sadness and regret that Computertraining.edu announces it will cease operation and close all of the Computertraining.edu schools, effective immediately.  These actions are due to circumstances beyond the Companys control. There will be no further classes held at any of our schools.

Very truly yours,

And that is that.  Most of the people in our class were there not only to learn but because of the help with resume's, practice interviews, job placement, etc.  I really feel for our instructor because he really believed in what he was doing, and really cares about his students.  We have all heard from him, with his personal info, to stay in touch, and to answer any questions we might have.  We just finished 70-291, when the axe dropped.  A few of us students squeezed in 70-680 (Windows 7 Configuring), so we technically don't need 70-350 (ISA) to complete our MCSA.  Several of us are talking about meeting twice a week and continuing our studies.  We won't have the our instructor because of the distance involved, but if distance was not an issue, we know he would be available to help us finish.  I plan on contacting sallie mae on monday morning and see if they will tell me anything more.  They did say earlier that we might get a chance to finish our schooling at another school, but would not be more specific.  I personally think that they should find a way for us to finish and receive something on paper that proves we went to a school, or pay sallie mae back all the money for us, and call it even.  Actually, that wouldn't be fair, but since we only got to cover 3 of the 4 books in the course, then they should pay back at least 25%.  Good luck to all of you who are in the same situation.  I will make it, it just might take a little longer, but then the sense of accomplishment will be greater!  DSMW - Indy
