Concord Management Ltd dba Richey Woods Senior Living bait and switch, consumer fraud, elder exploitation Maitland Florida

Concord Management has long been a disreputable company when it comes to the leasing of rental properties throughout Florida designed for low income citizens.  Now it seems they have moved on to defrauding the senior and disabled population as well!

When we came to look at Richey Woods Senior Living in new Port Richey FL the mid rise building was still under construction.  We and everyone else were offered the sun the moon and the sky to get us to sign leases.  They showed us a beautiful mock up of what the community would look like.  They advertised a gated community, planned activities, a clubhouse with computers and a boardwalk to walk to the Rec and Aquatic center behind us.  They delivered nothing.  The gates to the property are over 30 years old and they refuse to replace them.  Local youths patrol the parking lot at night looking to grab your purse and terrorize residents attempting to walk their dogs at night.  The bath tubs in our apartments were never put in

They never built the boardwalk and most people here can't walk to the rec center.  Activities are non existant even though they are a requirement of the LIHTC guidlelines.  Yesterday the building was hit by lightening and the lights blew out in the 5 story mid rise leaving residents to feel their way through pitch black hallways and praying they didn't trip.

I was quoted a specific amount for a security deposit only to have them drastically increase it right before I moved in.  Water bills have skyrocketed in the past two months, we have complained and they refuse to even speak to anyone about it. Obviously we are being charged for the water they use in the sprinklers.

There hasn't been a manager here for three months.  The clubhouse is closed after 5 to most residents and closed on weekends.  The office is only open for a few hours 3 days a week.  It is disgusting the way this company pays it's employees to look you right in the face and lie.  They will take your money and deliver nothing.  At this stage in our life we deserve to be treated respectfully and honestly.  If you doubt anything I am saying check out the Better Business Bureau but for heaven's sake stay away from this place!!!
