Concorde Career College School ripping off helpless students! Aurora Colorado

To Whom It May Concern:
I am currently a student at Concorde Career College in Aurora, Colorado. I am in the Associates Degree Registered Nurse program there. I am writing on behalf of myself and 5 other classmates.

In December of 2008, the 6 of us failed a course. It was a combined class of Maternity and Pediatrics. There we're lots of problems throughout the course. Mostly that the class material was not concurrent with the test questions, and the instructors we're not doing a good job teaching. I can say this because at one point only 4 out of 30 students we're passing the class (barely might I add). We met with the administration lots throughout the course of the class. The only thing that came out of it was us being told that we weren't studying enough. In the end the six of us failed the class. The administration told us that they dropped the ball and it never should have gotten to the point it did. They told us action should have been taken earlier. The academic dean and the Director of Nursing told us that we would be guaranteed a spot back into the program in March. They told all six of us that together.

As February began to wrap up, we all had meetings with Concorde. We we're told that the upcoming class is full to its limit (30 students), and we would have to wait to see if any students fail. If any spots open up then we would be accepted back in. When we asked them why they promised us a spot in March if they're not going to let us back in, they told us they misspoke.

In my last meeting with them, I asked them what to do now. I have given Concorde $30,000 + dollars. I want to be guaranteed a spot back in the program. They said they can not do that. As of right now, they will not guarantee me a spot back in the program any time soon, nor ever and I'm out $30,000. I have to just "hope a student fails and makes a spot for me." I also can't transfer to any other school because none of the other nursing programs will accept our credits. I also was told by the campus president that "I would never tell a Concorde student to go to another school, but it might be in your best interest to start looking at other schools." At the end of my meeting I asked if they could put in writing what we had just talked about. They said no. They would have to contact corporate office and get back to me.

We all have been majorly ripped off. They have taken our money, lied to us, and won't save 6 open spots in the upcoming class for us. They said, "we just can't do that". The only reason why they can't do that is they would be losing money. They can't just keep my money and not allow me to re enroll. Is all I want is to just get back in and finish my education or give me my money back and I will start over somewhere else.
