 This neighbor that filed a complaint confronted me as I was speaking to the waste container driver. He came out yelling and saying that I had no proof that he dumped any garbage in my container. Plus, dumping garbage in a container without permission is against the law in the state of Florida, regardless if on a public street. The neighbor continued to say that since the container was on a "public street" that it was open season to dump whatever he wanted. I mearly told him that the container was my private property, just as ones veichle and that if that was the case that I could throw garbage into the back of someone's truck because it was parked on a public road. The individual also made very racist and homophobic comments in his rage. Now I, the business owner am stuck with the bill for his negligence and disregard for the law. Once again the users and abusers try to argue their wrong doing, plus I have the picture of the debris he left on his front yard that matches the debris in my container. My attorney is working on getting my money back for the extra charge that this person feels entitled to other people's property!
