Conseco Insurance Return Of Premium Dates Changed? Carmel, Indiana

We purchased two policies with the Return of Premium.  The first in 1989, a cancer policy.  In 2009, an agent came to our home and paid us for this policy.  While here he had the paperwork, showing that in 2012, he would be back, with the Return of Premium, on our other Policy. 

Here its Sept of 2012 and not hearing from them, made some phone calls.  Their people are now telling me that that policy was not taken out until 2006, pushing our date back four years, 2016 for Return of Premium.

Unfortunately, we changed banks that year, so we don't have any access to the previous account showing automatic deductions going back to 1989 for the Cancer and 2002 for the Accident Policy.

My next step was to get the Reps name that visited us in 2009. Nope, according to them, 2009 is too long ago.   Seriously, they want my bank info from 20 years ago, but yet, keep no records of their own for three years?   Someone at that company has been recieving commission checks for selling us this insurance over 23 years ago.  Why can they not look that info up and give it to me?

The original company , welcomed into my home , was Conseco Insurance.  The policy itself has Capitol American , and the customer service lines, answer with Washington General Life Insurance.

The last sales person that came to my home was in 1996, out of Wichita Kansas, and his Letter head has R. Greg Johnson & Associates.  Attempting to call that number, is an answering machine for some state  benefits plan.  

Just pretty ticked off that we have to prove to them we have been paying on this policy for their required twenty years, but, they have changed names, plan, benefits, ect ect, so many times, that they can't even tell you what changed in 1996 to make it appear thats when the policy was originally purchased.  I honestly have to wonder about that Johnson guy.  Did he rewrite it so the commissions would go to him?

HELP.  VERY FRUSTRATED.
