Consolidated Beddig Inc. / Spring Air Mattress My wife's 401 is being held captive by this ignorant corporation, looks like they have their own "Stimulus Package". Tampa Florida

Consolidated Bedding purchased the Spring Air Mattress plant in Denver Colorado in 2007 and closed the plant in fall of 2008. My wife and 11 other employees had a 401 plan which the company made contributions, the majority of the monies contributed happened before the purchase of Spring Air. Here we are 7 months later and still waiting for the company to release the funds to their rightful owners. Many attempts to contact Consolidated Bedding have yielded no answers, most contact is completely ignored.

My wife has incorporated the help of our state's Labor Dept. and I assume they were successful in contacting the company regarding this matter. Were not sure what it means when we are told "You will get your money but we are not sure when".

To add insult to injury this past week my wife who did AP for the Spring Air plant received an invoice from a collection agency concerning a bill that Consolidated Bedding did not pay after closing the plant. Evidently the health care provider gave up on collecting on the past due bill and turned it over to collections, somehow they found our home address and now want payment.

This is another example of how insensitive corporate America tramples all over the people that helped them build their empire.

My wife has not found a job since being laid off from Spring Air and her benifits will expire soon. Our savings have almost been depleted and we could sure use the $16,000 this muli-million dollar company is holding captive.

This company does not deserve the business from decent hard working Americans
