Cancel order and over billing deceptive company; I want out! .....

I received many many calls from this company CMS (Consolidated Media Services). Finally I agreed to a subscription for 3 magazines. However, I ended up getting about 9 subscriptions!

Furthermore, they have been charging my credit card $58 every month and want to do so for a whole year!!! I wanted to cancel the subscriptions but when I called the company, they said I was locked into this agreement. Is that true?

I don't want anymore magazines and I certainly do not want to pay $58 every month for the next year. Is there any way out of this? What happens if I call the magazines directly? Will they stop service but CMS continue to bill me? Please help.
