A few years ago, preferably around the year 2001 or 2002, I received a postcard from Lisa Eastwood of Consolidated Media Services. I cannot remember exactly what it said but I do remember that it offered a free diamond/quartz watch with a magazine subscription.

I like to read so I decided to call the 1-800 number on the card and that is when the nightmare begin. She explained that if I am not satisfied with the order after signing up, I have 72 hours to cancel. Well, I slept on the deal and I decided to cancel when I awoke.

The company never cancelled my subsription, they never mailed my free watch, and they never mailed any magazines that I requested.

They have harassed me for years stating that I owe them money and it is now May of 2005.

Just recently, a guy named Tracy from Luebke Baker & Associates contacted me on the behalf of Consolidated Media Services. He stated that my name was submitted to the collections agency by Consolidated Media Services. He also stated that I owed a balance of $630 and he was willing to cut the balance to $300 to resolve the case.

I was concerned about my credit history, so I agreed to pay only $200 because I was not wrong and then I was considering seeking my own attorney. Tracy stated that my name would be cleared with this payment and a $10 processing fee would be charged. I felt a little strange so I begin to research this company practices on the web. The Better Business Bureau revoked their license in March of 2004 for too many unresolved complaints.

They claim that the phone messages are recorded but they have no record of my cancellation. Consolidated Media Services and Luebke Baker & Associates are scams. Any lawyers who are interested, please contact me.

We need to take these guys down for good.
