I was called by this company in 2000 about getting a reduced magazine subscription and a "free" gift. I have no idea how it happened because you can't understand a word they say, but somehow I agreed to recieve their magazines. I recieved a call later from them to "confirm" and was told I would be recieving certain magazines and that I could change the magazine titles at any time. Stupidly, I decided to give it a shot.

I started to recieve bills but no magazines. The company then called to ask how I was liking the magazines. I informed them I am recieving bills but no magazines. Eventually, the magazines began to come, but did I recieve anything even remotely close to what I asked for? NO!! I called them and told them I was recieving magazine titles I did not ask for and that I wanted to cancel.

So I paid what I owed for the crap I'd already gotten and canceled my checking account that the money was being taken out of. Thought I was rid of them, apparently I was wrong.

In March of 2005 (5 YEARS LATER!!!!!!!) I get a call from the company saying I owe them over $100. I explained the situation to the rude and arrogant employee and was told by him that I was a liar and that my account would never have been cancelled.

I then asked them why it takes them 5 years to attempt to collect a bill from someone to which of course he had no answer for. Since I didn't have anything but cash I asked for a bill to be sent to me in the mail.

FOUR MONTHS LATER I had yet to recieve a bill. Then, I get another phone call from an even more rude and iggnorant woman telling me I need to pay my bill now. Once again I tried to explain the situation and that I have no problem paying, just send me the bill. I was then told that I was mailed a bill a month earlier. As I tried to explain that I didn't recieve my bill I am once again being yelled at and called a liar. Then she tells me she's marking me as "refusal to pay" I told her I'm not refusing to pay, that I obviously can't pay her cash over the phone. To this I just hung up.

Once again 4 MONTHS LATER I recieve a call from Luebke Baker and Associates that they are attempting to collect a debt from none other than the jerks at consolidated media services. Once again I told the man my situation and that I am more than willing to pay when I recieve a bill. He was shockingly nice and said he would send a bill within 3-5 business days, so we will se if that really happens. I would love nothing better than to sue consolidated media and personally smack each of the iggnorant little twits that called me.
