Extended Warrranty provider is CDWS or Consumer Direct Warranty Services, Direct Warrany Services is the Selling Agent, Warranty Administration Services administers claims as an independent company.
I purchased 2000 Infiniti Q45 from private party with extended warranty coverage from CDWS and seller successfully transferred the warranty to me on May 15, 2009 per letter from CDWS.
All previous service records were required to transfer warranty and were submitted from previous owner. Copies were returned to me with letter indicating transfer of warranty and CDWS files were updated. There has been one additional oil change service performed per manufacturer's oil service recommendations.
A warranty claim was filed by an ASE Certified repair facility as required by CDWS warranty policy on 9-28-09 and refused by Warranty Administration Services, 1 800 209 3755, Claim ID# 37304 / Warranty Contract # FD4220007.
"Failure to adhere to required maintenance as stated in the terms and conditions of the program agreement. Records that are issued in the name of the Purchaser;signed by the Purchaser; electronically generated; issued by the commercial lubrication service performing the maintenance; include mileage, date, Vehicle Identification Number, year, make and model;and include a record of payment and service performed. Any hand written information on receipts, records or repair orders, pertaining to, or documenting required maintenance are not accetped."
All service records submitted with transfer of warranty application were accepted and there has been one required service performed since transfer of warranty that meets the above requirements.
The recent repair claim submitted on 9-28-2009 by my service provider involves engine replacement with costs exceeding $4000.00. The engine replacement is caused by oil being transferred from engine internally to the coolant and radiator. There are no signs of any external oil leaks and no available tests to know where the oil is coming from the internal part of the engine.
