I wanted to check my credit report so I used the consumerinfo.com site because it claimed you could get a credit report free. The company offered a 30-day free trial, but you have to give a credit card number.
During the free trial period, the credit report info was limited. Once the trial period was over they began charging $9.95 per month to my card without any notice.
Once they started charging my card monthly, I was getting the same general information that was free. In order to receive a credit score or any more detailed information about my credit report I have to pay more money.
