This company promises a "free laptop" after completion of 6 sponsored offers; two from three different pages. My gift status page reads that I have done so, yet it still says that I haven't completed the requirements.

Their email response form is bogus because I have sent countless emails over the last 2 months and have received any response! There's not even a listing of a business at their address provided and the phone number which I got from someone elses rip-off report on this company is a personal cell phone.

When the end of my "90 days" was fast approaching and my fulfillment page would not update from 5 to 6 (despite the fact that I'd fulfilled all 6 requirements Nov 29th and have my own proof), I sent email after email via the bogus customer service page with no response ever received. It was then that I began researching the Internet and found this site.

I called (866)379-8612 and it required me to leave a message and I did on Feb. 11. I wrote an email to jquiroz@marketresearchsite.net .

I was skeptical at first.
I thought to myself it could not hurt anything in trying.

Well after spending $200+ and not getting my laptop, I am extremely frustrated.

Everything it asked me to do, I did.

I better not receive a message that Teddy received telling me that it takes 4-6 weeks for all of the purchases to be reported to them. The only offer that they claim has not been reported, I have already received my second shipment from the company.

How convenient for Consumer Incentive Promotions to claim that the companies have not reported" to them! They have set it up in their terms and conditions to back out of all their offers with the not reported clause. And Consumer Incentive Promotions collects the money from the companies to buy me a laptop? How easy is it for them to claim that the company has not reported and keep the money for themselves? They even instruct us not to contact the sponsors. Please!

I will keep everyone posted on what happens.

Thanks everyone. We all need to stick together and not allow companies over the Internet to rip us off!

Finally Received My Laptop

AUTHOR: Shanna - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, April 09, 2005

I finally received my laptop, but I am wondering if it is because I filed a complaint with the Federal Government through a Web site that allows consumers to report Internet Fraud.

The Laptop is beautiful. I was really shocked when Fed Ex delivered it this morning considering the trouble I have gone through to contact this company with no resolution.

Something else I am real skeptical about...with the laptop, they sent me a letter requiring me to send back to them my social security number in reference to receiving a gift larger than $600. I do not think so. Though I appreciate the laptop considering the fact that they promised it too me for meeting their requirements, they must really think that I am stupid. I will not send anyone my social security number ever! I will contact the IRS on this issue.

This has been a trip dealing with this company. I definitely learned a lesson!

New twist to the scam...

AUTHOR: Rob - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, February 14, 2005

I mailed a complaint to the NC Attorney General's office about two weeks ago. Have not heard from them yet, but when I went to check my status with Consumer Incentive Promotions, my email disappeared from their database. Based on the last few complaints it seems like this is happening to an increasing number of people. Maybe this is so that they can tell third parties (e.g., state consumer protection agencies) that we never even joined CIP's promotion and prevent any complaint verification? Fortunately, I printed screenshots of the verification page and mailed copies to the Attorney General's office.

After receiving no replies to emails that I sent to other companies involved in this scam I am filing more complaints. I have filed a complaint against Milesource.com, the referring website, and plan to file a complaint against Real.com, the one company that I didn't receive credit for. Basically, the complaint is for their lack of action against CIP, their implied involvement in the scam, and the lack of response I received from these companies, and holding them responsible for gift fulfillment.

Also, if I do not get this resolved by the end of the month I plan to dispute all related charges with my credit card company. After all, fraud is fraud, and hopefully the long relationships I've had with my credit card companies will sway them in my favor. This way the companies that are involved and are not taking any type of corrective action will be compelled to address this issue. I urge everyone to do the same so that these companies will perform appropriate due diligence in the future and keep scams like this away from their own customers AND be held accountable.

finally received an email from Consumer Incentive Promotions support

AUTHOR: Shanna - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, February 13, 2005

Here is something new:

I finally received an email from Consumer Incentive Promotions support. They informed me that I needed to mail them the email confirmation from the 1 sponsor that they had claimed that was "not reported."

I replied back to them asking them why I could not just forward them the email, so I forwarded it to them anyway.

I went to the redeemtion page to follow up on my account and my email address has been removed from their database.

That is ok, because I will be filing some complaints plus, I am also going to contact all of their sponsors and inform them that I will not do business with them any longer ever and will warn others about doing business with them considering the fact that by sponsoring Consumer Incentive Promotions is a bad reflection on thier integrity.

I will follow up if anything comes about this though I feel that I will not be receiving my laptop. If I do, I will sure inform this board, but I do not think it is going to happen.
