Consumer Portfolio Services- Irvine, CPS got me fired and now wants more money!!! Class Action suit requested against them. IRVINE, California

I have also been harassed by this company, They called daily and said rude things to me. they even harassed my sister, who had nothing to do with anything I didn't even list her as a reference when I bought the car and to this day I have no clue how they got her information. They would try and take ridiculous amounts of money from my bank account without my authorization. but they would say "I authorized it" when i didn't, claming it's "in the notes" anyone can type something in those notes and say I said it.  the car was eventually repo'd I voluntarily gave it back to them. I told them to come get it 10 times before they did, claiming they couldn't find it, when I had already bought another car and kept that oen sitting in front of my house, ready for pick up. 

Hi- I just went thru the harrassment, etc anyhow just wanted to advise you but know you already lost your job...  call these attorneys and see if you have a case, always write down when harrassment took place, write caller ID #'s they calling from - get name, number...  I just won my case and got those dogs off my back and was only over 1500- my car was in accident and paid off & pd 95% of time on time, anyhow good luck.. We will start a FB Page, and a website for people who have been harrassed. This would be my first repo in my life, and it was a co sign for my nephew. They lied to me and said they would waive a fee. I left enough money in an account that i was closing for this pa yment. and they still charged the 12.00 dollar processing fee, and now have threatened to reposess. contact me, 20 of us can split it i will file it in Alameda County, I am going to have to let this car go....................

I'm with you. I have never been so harassed in my life. I haven't complained to BBB yet but I am on the verge on filing a complaint against them. Nobody should have to go through such harassment. They're in violation of fair debt collections act. They practiced unfair collection tactics plus they also violated client confidentiality. They violated several items:

Violations of FDCA:

1. Making false representations

2. Committing deceptive collection practices

3. Committing harassing phone calls

4. Deceiving buyer by using 'alleged' address verification references for collection purposes

5. Threats to connsumer to seize bank account and repo

6. Deducting from bank via ACH different amounts than stated and or authorized over phone

7. Collecting a deferment fee and not issuing deferment

8. Informing your references that you are in default of loan 

I'm not sure about others but I'm tired of it. 

I would be more than happy to be a part of a class action suite against CPS i have been treated really bad by these people as well they have given inforamtion to thrid parties i have been yelled and the list goes on and on i would be willing to go one record with these statements.

I full heatedly agree with you,They "CPS" called one of my neighbors claiming I was his wifes EX and used her as a credit referece with them THEY MUST BE STOPPED

I have been trying so hard to find an attorney that will start a class action law suit they have laws against this type of harrasment and as far as others saying answer the phone it does not matter if you answer the phone they will still continue to call. They give out my personal information and even proceeded to curse my boss at work and say that they can call my work ultimately I lost my job! I cannot take it anymore they have really really gotten under my skin, I have contacted the attorney general but they only mediated the situation and not helped me at all. Laws are made to be abided by and we have to so why can they just do what they want to do? Please if anyone knows of any actions taken inform me. I have been cursed at and even my mother harrased. Everytime I tell others they look at me as if I were lying! I need help I just want away from these people they have made my life a living hell
