Consumer Reasearch Racheal Newman secret shopper, $1,527 cashier check FRAUD New york, New York

Got a cashier check in mail from Consumer Research INC. for the amount of $1,527.00 tells me to call 1-818-666-8439 & confirm the check. well i did & she said deposit it in my account but i didnt...things seemed a little wrong because the phone number is a california number, the envelope was post marked in canada with no return address, & the bank where the check was from is in NJ. so i called the bank & they said it was fraud & NOT to cash & spend the money like they said to because then i would owe them money! Everyone please use your heads & research all the companies that anyone lists & call the banks before depositing ANY check that anyone sends you for a rediculous amount!
