ConConsumer Research Company Recieved letter and check from Consumer Research Company to be a mystery shopper. Victoria British Columbia

I recieved a letter with the letter head of "Consumer Research Company", address 642 Johnson Street, Victoria, BC, V8W1M6. A member of "American Survey Research Org., 170 North County Rd Suite 4, Port Jefferson, NY 11777.

Along with this letter came a check for the (popular) amount of $3699.50. Funny thing the check is from "Earth Tech", Villa Park III, 7870 Villa Park Drive, Suite 400, Richmond, VA 23228. The Bank is Mellon Bank, N.A., Pittsburgh, PA 15259.

The phone number to contact one Lisa Brown is a 250 area code which is in BC. However the number to fax all information to is 270 area code in Kentucky. So let's count this out now. Return address is in Toronto (1), letter head has two different places Victoria and Port Jefferson (2&3), one phone call to somewhere in British Columbia (4), another to Kentucky (5), company on check in Virgina (6) and the bank is in Pennsylvania for a grand total of 7 different places....clues in to big time fraud.

If these names of the companies are truly real companies, it would do the innocent that may indeed need extra income, and most do. Also, there are real companies that hire mystery shoppers. Maybe someone in these companies that have the monies and the lawyers to help protect their good names and reputations, should do something to help those that have fallen prey to these low life criminals and help thwart further fraudulent criminals from using these tactics to steal from the poor to make themselves rich.
