Consumer Rewards Network - Mega Movie Club - Health Network ripoff, fraudulent, SCAM Canoga Park California

I was contacted on 8/26/05 by a telemarketer with a foreign accent (india or other middle eastern accent). I told I had qualified for a free $500 gift card to use at a walmart or kmart. I needed to sign up for a mega movie club, health network, etc. I could cancel as soon as I got the materials in the mail.

I had to give them my account # and check for them to use to process the transaction and receive the mega movie and other paper work. Too good to be true and i still fell for it. I'm embarassed and angry.

I called them back once I noticed the withdrawal from my account and got the "we will process your cancellation which takes 7-10 days". Called back 2 wks later got the "we will investigate and have an answer in 2-3 days". Third call I got "we will send another check within 7-10 days'. Call #4 I got "You will receive a check in 2-4 weeks". I might call again, but I know I will never see the refund!! I wish I would have not picked up the phone.
