For a moment it was great. I opened a letter I received in the US mail. I won! I had a real, (really real) check in hand with a gold stamp seal for $4989.75 (with $55,010.25 more to come later). Paid to me from Pacific HealthCare, Inc.

But, it was too fishy. Why was there a random finance company from Ontario, Canada on the header of the congrats letter(Baseline Financial Services)? Why the Canada postmark but a US Healthcare company issuing the check?

So, I get the check and then wire them $2900.00 for tax fees? How would they know that the tax fees are? Your winning must be claimed within 10 days of notice. Scam. I thought. I looked online first.

I really want to open another bank account and see if this check actually clears in the meantime. Would love to see these peeps behind bars. The b@#$%'s.
